Welcome to the Internet of Things and RFID Standards Database!

Here you can find up-to-date information on standards relevant to RFID and the emerging IoT. To make it easier to search the database, each standard is classified in three main categories:

  • The area of application, i.e. to which hardware or software area it is related
  • The organization that published the standard
  • Its current status, whether it has already been published or is still under development

You can search the database using the above criteria at the standards browser page. Additionally, you will find descriptions of each standard category and publishing organization on separate pages.

This portal has been based on the RFID Standardisation State of the art Report, created within the EU-supported project GRIFS.

The European Standards Committee, CEN/ TC225 AIDC Technologies, has accepted ownership of the database, with technical support for the portal provided by Institut Icare.

Maintenance until June 2012 is being undertaken under the EU-supported project CASAGRAS2.  This continues the spirit of a Memorandum of Understanding between the original CASAGRAS project and the GRIFS project, both of which are now closed.
